The dawn of a new year

The Vienna Philharmonic's annual New Year's Concert is an exceptional event that has been held for more than 80 years and traditionally takes place on the morning of January 1. The guest conductor for the 2025 concert will be the great Riccardo Muti, who will conduct the orchestra for the seventh time. This worldwide event celebrates the music of Johann Strauss, his family and their contemporaries. Every year millions of people in more than 90 countries can enjoy the performance, broadcast live from the Musikverein in Vienna.

The harmony of a summer night

The Vienna Philharmonic also offers audiences the much-anticipated Summer Night Concert. Each year in May or June, up to 50,000 people gather at Schoenbrunn Palace and Gardens in the heart of the Austrian capital for an open-air concert. Broadcast in more than 80 countries, the event has been presented by Rolex since 2009. It is an emblem of a shared commitment that classical music can be accessible to all.
