Clock analysis

The watchmaker carries out an accurate analysis of your timepiece and an estimate of the interventions and prepares the estimate. Once the estimate has been accepted, the maintenance service can be started.

Preparation of the service

The watchmaker first separates the bracelet from the case, then gently pulls out the movement, with the dial and hands still on. From then on, the paths of the movement, case, and bracelet separate to rejoin at the end of the maintenance service, with reassembly operations.

Disassembly of the movement

The watchmaker disassembles the movement entirely, subjects each component to careful examination to determine whether it meets Rolex's criteria, and replaces it if necessary.

Movement component washing

The various components undergo an ultrasonic wash bath to remove every bit of impurity, even in the most difficult to access areas.

Movement assembly and lubrication

The components are dried and the movement is ready to be reassembled and lubricated. The watchmaker makes an initial adjustment to the precision of the movement, within the standards of the Brand.

Case and bracelet finish

The case is entirely disassembled, after which the case middle, bezel, case back, and bracelet are polished or satin-finished, as in the original finish. These delicate operations require precision and great mastery of gestures.

Case assembly

The case elements, having finished polishing or satin-finishing and cleaning, are reassembled and the seals replaced. The time has come to test the water resistance of the case.

Movement embedding

After reassembling the dial and hands, the watchmaker subjects all elements to a rigorous technical and aesthetic inspection and reinserts the movement into the case.

Accuracy test

With the movement recessed, chronometric accuracy is again assessed. The watchmaker makes final adjustments so that the watch meets Rolex's criteria.

He then screws the case back onto the case and then subjects the watch to a test lasting a minimum of twenty-four hours. This test, specific to the brand, allows to verify the correct functioning of the movement over time.

Proof of water resistance

The watch's water resistance is checked through a test in water, under pressure; after that, the bracelet is reassembled on the case.

Final check

At this point, the watch is ready for a final test, in which the watchmaker checks for correct functions and aesthetic accuracy.

Return of the clock

Upon completion, the watch will be returned to you inside a protective case and will benefit from a two-year international warranty covering both parts and labor.
