IWC movement servicing – Authorised Service Centre

Step 1

Diagnosis and estimate

An expert watchmaker inspects the movement, the complications and the aesthetics of the watch to determine the interventions and spare parts required.

Step 2

Case restoration

The movement is removed and the case components are ultrasonically cleaned. Any deep scratches are corrected with laser welding, and the gaskets are replaced to guarantee water resistance.

Step 3

Movement overhaul

The mechanism is completely disassembled, cleaned and checked. Worn components are replaced and, after reassembly and adjustment, the movement is lubricated.

Step 4

Casing-up

The dial and hands are refitted on the overhauled movement, which is then placed back into the case. The watch is finally hermetically sealed after the last adjustments.

Step 5

Quality control and guarantee

The watch undergoes precision testing (over 12 hours), power-reserve checks, water-resistance tests and a final aesthetic inspection. The service includes a two-year guarantee.
